Welcome to a new school year brimming with possibilities and opportunities! Whether you are returning or new to our Wright Middle School family, I am delighted to welcome you all. Your support and involvement are crucial to our success, and I am excited about the incredible year ahead.

This year, we are looking forward to expanding our magnet theme, bringing fresh ideas and energy into our classrooms. Our goal is to move out of priority status, and with our collective efforts and dedication, I am confident that we will achieve this milestone.

One of our primary foci for this year will be strengthening the culture across our building by prioritizing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) for both adults and students. By fostering a strong SEL culture, we aim to create an environment where every student feels supported, understood, and motivated to succeed. Together, we will ensure that every student is not just known, but that every student thrives and flourishes academically, socially, and emotionally.

We have an exciting year ahead, and we will work together with a unified vision and focus to make Wright Middle School one of the highest-performing middle schools in the district. To achieve this, we need your support and involvement. Your active participation in your child’s education and in our school community will magnify our efforts and make a significant impact on our students' success.

Important Dates & Information

Cafecitos Con La Directora or Coffee with the Principal

We will continue to offer this opportunity for parents again this year, on the first Friday of each month. This is an excellent opportunity to meet with the administrators, share suggestions, concerns, and ask questions. This is meant to be a collaborative space for respectful exchange of ideas. We hope to see you there!

Yond’r Cell Phone Pouches

We will be using a system called Yondr Bags. Yondr uses a simple, lockable pouch that stores a cell phone. Every student will be issued a pouch along with their Student Laptops. Students will keep their phones stored in the pouch, with them, during the day and will not use them until their pouches are opened at the end of the school day. We need your support to ensure the success of this new system, meant to enhance students’ academic engagement, and in turn, their success.
