Dress Code Policy
Please read this policy carefully. Several changes have been made for the 2024 – 2025 school year.
All students must wear the dress code permitted clothing to school every day.
Permitted
Tops
- Any solid-colored or patterned shirt (Ex: collared, t-shirt, sweatshirt, or sweater)
- Wright spirit wear
- College spirit wear
Bottoms
- Solid color jeans without rips or tears
- Solid color khaki material slacks, joggers, or cargo pants
- Solid color khaki material shorts and pants
- Solid color khaki material skirts, skorts, and/or jumpers
- Loose pants should be held up with belts
Outerwear
- Blazer, light jacket, vest, sweater, cardigan, sweatshirt, hoodie*
*hoods cannot be pulled up over student’s heads
Not Permitted
- Rips, tears, or holes in the shirt
- Undershirts worn as a shirt
- Inappropriate comments, statements, or graphics
- Low-cut or spaghetti strap tank tops
- Midriff-revealing halter tops or baggy shirts
- Sleeveless shirts
- See-through material of any kind
- Rips, tears, or holes of any kind
- No sweatpants
- Leggings, jeggings, biker shorts, or yoga pants worn as a bottom (leggings can be worn under
- skirts and dresses)
- Sagging below the waist
- Cut-off style pants
- Heavy or long loose coats
- Any kind of hat or headwear (Must be placed in lockers or other appropriate location prior to class)
- Hoodies on student’s heads
- Flip flop shoes
- Slides
- House shoes/House slippers
- Crocs
- Hats, Sweatbands, Hair bonnets
- Large or obtrusive jewelry/Chains or spiked accessories
SSA Violation Consequences
- First Offense: Warning Infraction in HERO
- Second Offense: Infraction in HERO, parent contacted by teacher, policy sent home
- Third Offense: Infraction, parent notified by Admin, policy sent home, lunch detention
- Four or more: Office referral submitted, 200-repeated violation
