Dr. Sharada Deaton, our executive principal was one of three finalists for the MNPS Principal of the Year award. And small wonder. Look at what is happening at Wright under her leadership.

This is the final installment of our four-part series on communications through the arts! This story focuses on the Mariachi band--the only middle school Mariachi performers in all of Tennessee. This well-traveled group will entertain even more audiences in the New Year. 

Magnet schools do more than boost academics—they help students grow into confident, capable young people ready for the real world.

By learning with classmates from diverse backgrounds and getting hands‑on experiences with local businesses, nonprofits, and community partners, students see how their learning connects to life outside the classroom. They learn important life skills like teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving along the way.
