Dress Code

Standard School Attire Policy 2025–2026

All students must wear permitted clothing to school every day.

Tops

Permitted

  • Any solid-colored or patterned shirt (collared, t-shirt, sweatshirt, or sweater)
  • Wright spirit wear
  • College spirit wear

Not Permitted

  • Rips, tears, or holes in shirts
  • Undershirts worn as a shirt
  • Inappropriate comments, statements, or graphics
  • Low-cut or spaghetti strap tank tops
    • These tops may not be worn under hoodies.
  • Midriff-revealing halter tops
  • Baggy shirts
  • Sleeveless shirts
  • See-through material of any kind

Students are required to remove any outerwear jacket or hood during random weapon and drug searches.

Bottoms

Permitted

  • Solid color khaki material slacks, joggers, or cargo pants
  • Solid color khaki material shorts
  • Solid color khaki material skirts, skorts, and jumpers

Not Permitted

  • Sweatpants
  • Leggings, jeggings, biker shorts, athletic gear, or yoga pants worn as a bottom*
  • Sagging below the waist
  • Cut-off styles
  • Pajamas of any kind
  • Skin exposure

Jeans with holes must be worn over leggings or shorts.
Jeans are permitted and allowed to be worn this year.

Outerwear

Permitted

  • Hoodies (hoods must be off in the building)
  • Blazer, light jacket, vest, sweater, or cardigan

Not Permitted

  • Heavy or long loose coats
  • Any kind of hat, headwear, scarf, or bonnet (must be placed in lockers or another appropriate location prior to class)

Jeans are permitted and allowed to be worn this year.

Miscellaneous Not Permitted

  • Sagging (loose pants should be held up with belts)
  • Hats, sweatbands, or hair bonnets
  • Flip flops, slides, house shoes, or slippers
  • Tight-fitting, baggy, or revealing clothing of any kind
  • Large or obtrusive jewelry, chains, or spiked accessories

SSA Violations

  • First offense: Document in HERO by teachers
  • Second offense: Document in HERO by teachers; student sent to Admin; phone call home
  • Third offense: Document in HERO by teachers; student sent to Admin; phone call home; student serves lunch in MIT
  • Fourth offense or more: Office referral submitted
