Get Involved at Wright!

We welcome all parents, neighbors, and community members to become part of our "united family".

  • Volunteers-  Volunteer are accepted all year long.  Options for volunteers include (but are not limited to): Lunch Buddies, adult education (ESL or Computer skills), school store volunteers, and clothing closet/pantry volunteers.  Volunteers will receive a tour and basic interview to determine the best fit.  Training and support provided.
  • Tutors- Wright Middle School serves over 650 students in grades 5-8. Our global students are creative, capable, and resilient.  Our student population speaks 23 languages and need support in reading and math to be able to show the world what they know! For timeslots and to sign up to tutor.
  • Community Partners-  Wright Middle School works with a diverse set of community partners to meet the needs of our students and families, while supporting strong and healthy teachers. For more information hread the Wright Middle School's Strategic Plan.
  • Parents- Parents are welcome as volunteers, tutors, and reading buddies for students.  Parents are also invited to share their ideas, concerns, and hopes for their Wright student.  Please watch your email and call outs for an invitation to a parent voice session.

 

  • Quick and easy ways to support Wright without having to be in the building:
  •  Donate worn but not worn out clothing- Wright has a clothing closet available to all students at all times. High need items are: pants, shirts, shoes, and hoodies in all sizes!
  • Donate your housewares to ThriftSmart- Place unwanted household items in our ThriftSmart donation bin or take them to ThriftSmart on Nolensville Road and indicate that you want the donation to benefit Wright Middle School.  We receive $1 in store credit for every 10 pounds of donations!
  • Link your Kroger Card to Wright Middle School- Log in to your Kroger account and click Community Rewards” then search Wright Middle School or enter our code: HU564. Once you link your card to Wright, Kroger will make a donation to us based the amount you spend. You pay nothing extra!
  • Host a drive- Looking for a project for your student organization?  Host a drive for any of these items:
    Coats and warm winter items
    Plain white shifts for the tie dye project during 8th grade week
    Feminine hygiene products to serve all our girls
    Toys for the Holidays 
    Canned and non-perishable food for our school pantry
